What to Expect
Our rowing tank mini clinics at Union College offer 2 hours of hands-on coaching in a small group of up to 4 athletes, giving you the perfect mix of individualized feedback, focused technical work, and shared learning.
Each session is structured to help you understand your stroke, put new skills into practice, and leave with actionable takeaways for your training. See below for an outline of our agenda:

10-minute dynamic warm-up and seat setup: Get moving, loosen up, and dial in your seat and foot stretcher position.
-
45-minute row: Drills and focused steady segments: Work on technique, timing, and efficiency through guided drills and steady rowing, with real-time coaching.
-
30-minute video review: Break down your stroke frame by frame with your coaches to better understand your technique and identify opportunities for improvement.
-
45-minute row: Reinforcement and application: Practice adjustments through targeted drills and hands-on coaching to turn new insights into lasting habits.
-
10-minute cool-down and open Q&A: Wrap up, ask questions, and leave with ideas to carry into your next practice.

All sessions take place at Alumni Gym at Union College in Schenectady, NY. Detailed parking and entry instructions will be sent before your session.
What should I wear and bring?
Dress in layers! The room may start out chilly, but it warms up quickly once we get moving. Bring a water bottle and athletic shoes. The foot stretchers feel similar to those on a standard erg, so your usual training shoes will work well.
Can I row sweep or sculling?
Either! We default to sculling, but we're happy to accommodate sweep when possible. Just note your preference on the intake form or message us directly. Group coordination helps us organize each session, but mixed sweep and sculling sessions are possible.
Can I register with a group of friends?
Absolutely! If you fill the tank with all 4 seats, every participant receives a $25 discount. Gather your crew and make a day of it!
What if all the time slots I want are full?
Don't worry! Send us a message, and we'll do our best to accommodate you or open an additional spot when possible.
